Dreamworld

143 Words.

Dreamworld
By. Brandon Moore

These things we do,
That hurt one,
And please another,
How are they real?
Is the pain real?
Is the pleasure real?

How do we know if this is reality, or a dream?
Both are real, but one is fake,
So which is real, and how am I to tell?
One copies the other,
And one leads the way,

And so then in both worlds I am crushed yet again,
By things in my past, both recent and old,
I relive them again, once more and again,
The pain just as harsh, and feelings as real,
Here I am again, not sure where I am,
I know but one thing, and one thing alone,
Pain is in my past,
Pain is my present,
Pain is in my future,
Pain is my future,
Pain, is me…

Pain?

Pain?
By.Brandon Moore

If the blood is to make the wound better,
And the pain to make the healed skin feel even better,
Then I have my blood,
And I have my pain,
But my wounds are still open,
I’m still hurting,
And I’m still bleeding,
So when will I heal?
I guess its just a matter of time…

Taken - Brandon Moore

250 Words.

Taken
By. Brandon Moore

He swore she had broken his heart,
But in reality he did the breaking,
His heart was split in two,
She had another man,
But she was just waiting for him,
And before that she had waited,
She waited for years for that man to come back,
But that man was waiting for her,
He thought she didn’t want him,
It broke him in two, but he just didn’t know,
He didn’t know she had waited,
He thought she had left him behind,
But in reality she was just waiting for him,
Even after he left without a “goodbye”,
Not even a kiss, or any goodbye tokens,
It’s too late now, he has someone else,
And as sorry as he is, he can’t go back to her,
It’s his decision, and he thinks it’s the right one to make,
Even though it hurts him inside,
He is taken, he won’t give that up for anyone…

He wonders if it really is the right choice,
She loved him first, but he made promises to the other girl,
He loves them both, how can he choose?
Decisions he must make,
Decisions that will cause pain to someone,
Either to her or the other girl,
But it hurts him either way,
It hurts to leave the other girl for her,
It hurts to say no to her, and let the other girl have him,
But he asks himself; am I right, or am I wrong?

The Ecstasy - John Donne

The Ecstasy
By.John Donne

Where, like a pillow on a bed
A pregnant bank swelled up to rest
The violet's reclining head,
Sat we two, one another's best.
Our hands were firmly cemented
With a fast balm, which thence did spring;
Our eye-beams twisted, and did thread
Our eyes upon one double string;
So to 'Intergraph our hands, as yet
Was all the means to make us one,
And pictures in our eyes to get,
Was all our propagation.
As 'twixt two equal armies fate
suspends uncertain victory,
Our souls (which to advance their state
Were gone out) hung 'twixt her and me.
And whilst our souls negotiate there,
We like sepulchral statues lay;
All day, the same our postures were,
And we said nothing, all the day.
If any, so by love refined
That he soul's language understood,
And by good love were grown all mind,
Within convenient distance stood,
He (though he knew not which soul spake,
Because both meant, both spake the same)
Might thence a new concoction take
And part far purer than he came.
This ecstasy doth unperplex,
We said, and tell us what we love;
We see by this it was not sex,
We see we saw not what did move;
But as all several souls contain
Mixture of things, they know not what,
Love these mixed souls doth mix again
And makes both one, each this and that.
A single violet transplant,
The strength, the color, and the size,
(All which before was poor and scant)
Redoubles still, and multiplies.
When love with one another so
Interinanimates two souls,
That abler soul, which thence doth flow,
Defects of loneliness controls.
We then, who are this new soul, know
Of what we are composed and made,
For the' atomies of which we grow
Are souls. whom no change can invade.
But oh alas, so long, so far,
Our bodies why do we forbear?
They’re ours, though they’re not we; we are
The intelligences, they the spheres.
We owe them thanks, because they thus
Did us, to us, at first convey,
Yielded their senses' force to us,
Nor are dross to us, but allay.
On man heaven's influence works not so,
But that it first imprints the air;
So soul into the soul may flow,
Though it to body first repair.
As our blood labors to beget
Spirits, as like souls as it can,
Because such fingers need to knit
That subtle knot which makes us man,
So must pure lovers' souls descend
T' affections, and to faculties,
Which sense may reach and apprehend,
Else a great prince in prison lies.
To’ our bodies turn we then, that so
Weak men on love revealed may look;
Love's mysteries in souls do grow,
But yet the body is his book.
And if some lover, such as we,
Have heard this dialogue of one,
Let him still mark us, he shall see
Small change, when we’re to bodies gone.

Take My Hand…
By. Brandon Moore

Baby I know it’s hard, but trust me,
Baby I know its tough, but take my hand,
Baby I am asking you to come with me,
Baby I want you by my side until evermore,
Baby please come with me,
Baby please stay true to me,
Baby please stay with me forever,
Baby I wont ever hurt you,
Baby I am your man,
Baby you have all of me, body, mind, soul,
Baby please be careful with me,
Baby can you care that much?
Baby can my love be enough to ask you to take my hand?
Baby, I love you…

Stone By Stone

300 Words.

Stone By Stone
By. Anonymous

I have a wall you can not see because it's deep inside of me. It blocks my heart on every side and helps emotions there to hide. You can not reach in I can not reach out; you wonder what it's all about.
The wall I built that you can't see results of insecurity. Each time my tender heart was hurt, the seams within grew worse and worse. So stone by stone I built a wall that's now so thick it will not fall.
Please understand that it was not you, continue trying to break through. I want so much to show myself and love from you will really help. So bit by bit, chip the wall, till stone by stone it starts to fall.
I know the process will be slow. It's never easy to let go, of hurts and failures so long engraved upon ones heart, from years of pain. I'm so afraid to let you in because I know I might get hurt again.
I try so hard to break the wall but seem to get no where at all. For stone upon stone I've stacked and left between them not a crack. The only way to make it fall is an imperfection in the wall.
I did the best I could, to build the perfect wall, but there are still a few small flaws, which are the key to breaking through the wall to me. Please use each flaw to cause a crack to break the stone off the stack.
For just as stone by stone was laid, with ever hurt with ever pain. So stone by stone the wall will break, as love replaces ever ache.
Please be the one who cares enough, to find the flaws no matter what.

The Key

52 Words.

The key
By. Brandon Moore

My heart is my prison,
My love is the lock with but one key,
Your love, your beauty, they are the key,
And there is but on key, you hold that key,
You hold it in your heart, don’t ever give it up…

I’ll hold you

125 Words.

I’ll hold you
By. Brandon Moore

As I get closer to you,
My heart, it fills with your warmth
Only too soon it broke in two,
But I leave one piece with you…

And as I do this trusting thing, promise me these things,
I’ll hold you again, feel your caress once more,
And while we do this, you’ll heal my heart once more.
While you heal me, I’ll hold you, I’ll hold you forever…

I’ll hold you in the morn, while the sun rises,
I’ll hold you all day long, your hair spilling over me chest,
I’ll hold you, while the sun goes down, and the moon silently rises,
I’ll hold you all daytime long, and all throughout the night…

I Would Take You…
By. Brandon Moore

As the dewdrops settle on the grass,
And the sun rises over the hill,
And as the fog lifts up,
The beauty of the morn is revealed.

As the sun sets across the ocean,
And the purple and yellow rays are revealed,
And as the wave crash on the shore,
The beauty of the evening is revealed.

As we walk along the grass, smelling tender dew,
And you let out a small shiver, showing you are cold,
And as I come to hold you, to warm you up once more,
And I whisper in your ear,
“If I could choose you or all this, I would take you”

Le Grá Go Deo (With Love Forever)
By. Brandon Moore

le grá go deo, with love forever,
le grá go deo, this describes it all,
le grá go deo, for you Snowflake,
le grá go deo, is all that is said,
le grá go deo, all that needs to be said,
le grá go deo, I mean it in Ernest,
le grá go deo, how many times may I say it, before it sinks in,
le grá go deo, just another way of saying “love you ‘til death”
le grá go deo, is that which I said.
