Taken - Brandon Moore

250 Words.

Taken
By. Brandon Moore

He swore she had broken his heart,
But in reality he did the breaking,
His heart was split in two,
She had another man,
But she was just waiting for him,
And before that she had waited,
She waited for years for that man to come back,
But that man was waiting for her,
He thought she didn’t want him,
It broke him in two, but he just didn’t know,
He didn’t know she had waited,
He thought she had left him behind,
But in reality she was just waiting for him,
Even after he left without a “goodbye”,
Not even a kiss, or any goodbye tokens,
It’s too late now, he has someone else,
And as sorry as he is, he can’t go back to her,
It’s his decision, and he thinks it’s the right one to make,
Even though it hurts him inside,
He is taken, he won’t give that up for anyone…

He wonders if it really is the right choice,
She loved him first, but he made promises to the other girl,
He loves them both, how can he choose?
Decisions he must make,
Decisions that will cause pain to someone,
Either to her or the other girl,
But it hurts him either way,
It hurts to leave the other girl for her,
It hurts to say no to her, and let the other girl have him,
But he asks himself; am I right, or am I wrong?

The Ecstasy - John Donne

The Ecstasy
By.John Donne

Where, like a pillow on a bed
A pregnant bank swelled up to rest
The violet's reclining head,
Sat we two, one another's best.
Our hands were firmly cemented
With a fast balm, which thence did spring;
Our eye-beams twisted, and did thread
Our eyes upon one double string;
So to 'Intergraph our hands, as yet
Was all the means to make us one,
And pictures in our eyes to get,
Was all our propagation.
As 'twixt two equal armies fate
suspends uncertain victory,
Our souls (which to advance their state
Were gone out) hung 'twixt her and me.
And whilst our souls negotiate there,
We like sepulchral statues lay;
All day, the same our postures were,
And we said nothing, all the day.
If any, so by love refined
That he soul's language understood,
And by good love were grown all mind,
Within convenient distance stood,
He (though he knew not which soul spake,
Because both meant, both spake the same)
Might thence a new concoction take
And part far purer than he came.
This ecstasy doth unperplex,
We said, and tell us what we love;
We see by this it was not sex,
We see we saw not what did move;
But as all several souls contain
Mixture of things, they know not what,
Love these mixed souls doth mix again
And makes both one, each this and that.
A single violet transplant,
The strength, the color, and the size,
(All which before was poor and scant)
Redoubles still, and multiplies.
When love with one another so
Interinanimates two souls,
That abler soul, which thence doth flow,
Defects of loneliness controls.
We then, who are this new soul, know
Of what we are composed and made,
For the' atomies of which we grow
Are souls. whom no change can invade.
But oh alas, so long, so far,
Our bodies why do we forbear?
They’re ours, though they’re not we; we are
The intelligences, they the spheres.
We owe them thanks, because they thus
Did us, to us, at first convey,
Yielded their senses' force to us,
Nor are dross to us, but allay.
On man heaven's influence works not so,
But that it first imprints the air;
So soul into the soul may flow,
Though it to body first repair.
As our blood labors to beget
Spirits, as like souls as it can,
Because such fingers need to knit
That subtle knot which makes us man,
So must pure lovers' souls descend
T' affections, and to faculties,
Which sense may reach and apprehend,
Else a great prince in prison lies.
To’ our bodies turn we then, that so
Weak men on love revealed may look;
Love's mysteries in souls do grow,
But yet the body is his book.
And if some lover, such as we,
Have heard this dialogue of one,
Let him still mark us, he shall see
Small change, when we’re to bodies gone.

Take My Hand…
By. Brandon Moore

Baby I know it’s hard, but trust me,
Baby I know its tough, but take my hand,
Baby I am asking you to come with me,
Baby I want you by my side until evermore,
Baby please come with me,
Baby please stay true to me,
Baby please stay with me forever,
Baby I wont ever hurt you,
Baby I am your man,
Baby you have all of me, body, mind, soul,
Baby please be careful with me,
Baby can you care that much?
Baby can my love be enough to ask you to take my hand?
Baby, I love you…

Stone By Stone

300 Words.

Stone By Stone
By. Anonymous

I have a wall you can not see because it's deep inside of me. It blocks my heart on every side and helps emotions there to hide. You can not reach in I can not reach out; you wonder what it's all about.
The wall I built that you can't see results of insecurity. Each time my tender heart was hurt, the seams within grew worse and worse. So stone by stone I built a wall that's now so thick it will not fall.
Please understand that it was not you, continue trying to break through. I want so much to show myself and love from you will really help. So bit by bit, chip the wall, till stone by stone it starts to fall.
I know the process will be slow. It's never easy to let go, of hurts and failures so long engraved upon ones heart, from years of pain. I'm so afraid to let you in because I know I might get hurt again.
I try so hard to break the wall but seem to get no where at all. For stone upon stone I've stacked and left between them not a crack. The only way to make it fall is an imperfection in the wall.
I did the best I could, to build the perfect wall, but there are still a few small flaws, which are the key to breaking through the wall to me. Please use each flaw to cause a crack to break the stone off the stack.
For just as stone by stone was laid, with ever hurt with ever pain. So stone by stone the wall will break, as love replaces ever ache.
Please be the one who cares enough, to find the flaws no matter what.

The Key

52 Words.

The key
By. Brandon Moore

My heart is my prison,
My love is the lock with but one key,
Your love, your beauty, they are the key,
And there is but on key, you hold that key,
You hold it in your heart, don’t ever give it up…

I’ll hold you

125 Words.

I’ll hold you
By. Brandon Moore

As I get closer to you,
My heart, it fills with your warmth
Only too soon it broke in two,
But I leave one piece with you…

And as I do this trusting thing, promise me these things,
I’ll hold you again, feel your caress once more,
And while we do this, you’ll heal my heart once more.
While you heal me, I’ll hold you, I’ll hold you forever…

I’ll hold you in the morn, while the sun rises,
I’ll hold you all day long, your hair spilling over me chest,
I’ll hold you, while the sun goes down, and the moon silently rises,
I’ll hold you all daytime long, and all throughout the night…

I Would Take You…
By. Brandon Moore

As the dewdrops settle on the grass,
And the sun rises over the hill,
And as the fog lifts up,
The beauty of the morn is revealed.

As the sun sets across the ocean,
And the purple and yellow rays are revealed,
And as the wave crash on the shore,
The beauty of the evening is revealed.

As we walk along the grass, smelling tender dew,
And you let out a small shiver, showing you are cold,
And as I come to hold you, to warm you up once more,
And I whisper in your ear,
“If I could choose you or all this, I would take you”

"Just Turn Around"

This is a song that was written for me by someone who wishes to remain anonymous.
465 Words.

"Just Turn Around"
Anonymous

When I’m around you there's nothing to describe
Just how you make me feel (hold)
One minute I can be feeling as low as the dirt in this crazy world
Just then you tell me that you love me (hold)
Yes me, this girl right beside you
And my heart begins to jump faster when you kiss me

Chorus 1:
I don’t know what to say,
You take my breath away…and all I can think is:
He says he loves me, but does he mean it,
Ill just lean on it… he puts his arms around me,
Hoping to get something in return and I give him a Kiss
Oh God I love his Bliss, his charm and his words.
I love him, words can’t explain it, actions can’t help it,
So how do I know he loves me? When do I know I have his heart?

Chorus 2:
Baby, Just turn around and look at me
I need the truth Please
And I need to know your mine
Just turn around and look at me
Tell me you love me just one more time
And I'll believe you once again,

You say you care about me and that you love me,
But I can’t help to think, is she on your mind?
Does she have your heart? Or am I just the stand in for time?
You tell me you Love me, and never want to let go.
Baby, I’m here and I’m not leaving.
As hard as I try I will never stop loving you, you have my heart.

Chorus 1:
I don’t know what to say,
You take my breath away…and all I can think is:
He says he loves me, but does he mean it,
Ill just lean on it…he puts his arms around me,
Hoping to get something in return and I give him a Kiss
Oh God I love his Bliss, his charm and his words.
I love him, words can’t explain it, actions can’t help it,
So how do I know he loves me? When do I know I have his heart?

I know we will go our different ways, but for now
I'm here and I'm yours, ill always be yours.
My heart cries for your touch.
My head spins when I hear your voice
Nothing can make my feelings go away
This might be too big for the both of us but baby,
I'm here to stay and I'm not going away.

Chorus 2:
Baby, Just turn around and look at me
I need the truth Please
And I need to know your mine
Just turn around and look at me
Tell me you love me just one more time
And I'll believe you once again.

Cant Breath

169 Words.

Cant Breath
Cant Breathe
By. Brandon Moore

How can I show how much I love you?
Can I show you thru slow dancing to your favorite song?
Can I show you thru my soft caress?
Can I show you thru silent kisses?
Can I show you thru dinner, lit only by candles?

How much must I do to express my care for you?
I can say I love you, and I always will,
I can say just don’t let go, hold on forever,

How can I describe what you do to me?
When I am with you, I just want to hold you,
When I’m holding you, its all I can do,
When I’m holding you, I find that its hard to breathe,
When I cant breath, its because of you, your beauty and sweetness is all
around me, making the air thicker, that’s why I cant breathe,
yet I still like it, like being with you, if I cant breathe, then its fine with me…

Caress

98 Words.

Caress
By. Brandon Moore

Your silent glances are that which I long for,
Your tender caress is soft as a feather,
Your beautiful hair flows and sways,
Your eyes are like jewels, reflecting you inner light,
That light shines, and its always around you,
You hands are smooth as molten wax,
Your breath is hot on my neck,
Your touch is like angel wings, soft and sweeping,
Your voice is like a siren, calling to me,
Your face is like a medusa, it turns me to stone,
Until your sweet caress touch me again…

Once again…

139 Words.
Once again…
By. Brandon Moore

Here we are once again, we are together once again,
As I look into your eyes once again,
Our hands connect once again,
That electric buzz comes on once again,
Your hands go around my neck once again,
Our lips connect once again.

We do this all as…
The candles burn once again,
Country music playing once again,
I look into your eyes once again
And we slow dance once again,

And as we slow dance once again,
Your all I can think of once again,
Your all I can look at once again,
Your all I can dream of once again,
Its all I can do, to let go of you,
I love you so much, but I am afraid,
Afraid something will happen, to me, or to you…

Fairy Tale

This was written by a friend of mine, Lace, its my personal favorite out of the poems that she has done.
166 Words,

Fairy Tale
By. Lace

I’ve heard many girls gossip
And tell of their fairy tale night.
Gorgeous gowns,
Sterling silver jewelry,
A bouquet of roses
Dancing the night away with him
Feeling like they’re floating
On a cloud
Every little detail planned and perfect
Now it’s my turn to tell
Only it’s not a fairy tale
Nothing planned, nothing perfect
No fancy gowns or dresses
I’ll be wearing a pair of jeans
And an extra large t-shirt for all I care
No one else around,
A mid-tempo country song playing
Joking around and laughing
So hard at one another
Next thing I know
You’re giving me a gentle kiss
On my lips
Slowly pulling me closer to you
Holding me tightly
With your arms
Around my waist
Slow dancing right then and there
Feelings beyond description,
Far beyond those of
“Floating on a cloud”
It may not seem like a
Fairy tale to most
But to me it’s my fairy tale
With you and in reality...

Romance

A Romantic poem.
161 Words.
Romance
By. Brandon Moore

Romance,
To every person it means something different,

To some it might be slow dancing in a room lit only
By candles, country music playing, rain beating on the windows….

To some it might be sitting on the couch,
Watching a movie, little brothers all put to bed….

To some it might be a candlelit dinner of arduously
Prepared lamb and rice, dressed in a suit and a dress….

To some it might be a bonfire at the beach, crab legs and
Hot chocolate, tide coming in and a indescribable sunset….

To some it might be a boat on a lake, a glass of
Wine and a bright full moon shining down….

Whether your preference is candles and country music,
Or if you prefer a bonfire on the beach, as different as they are, they are all the same, they are all romance, they all mean the same thing, but they all mean it in different ways….

Can't Help But Wonder...

We all have things we wonder about....
168 Words.

Can’t Help But Wonder…
By. Brandon Moore

You came to me, wounds on your wrists,
You said to me, I can’t take it any longer,
I said to you, lets face it together,
You said to me, can’t let you see me in pain,
You said to me, can’t show you the tears,
I said to you, its only human, what can you do?
You said to me, i'll end it all, just wanted to say “goodbye”,
I said to you, you are my all, please don’t leave me,
You said to me, how can I mean that much?
I said to you, I love you, and there’s only on of you,
You said to me, I’ve been told that before, what makes you any different?
I said to you, you will know by my actions, stay long enough to see them….

Now we recall that time together, and I can’t help but wonder, what would have happened had you ended it all there in front of me?

When I See You

Yet another love poem, lol.
124 Words.
When I See You
By.Brandon Moore

When I see you, my heart fills with joy,
When I am with you, I feel like I am flying,
When I am with you, I feel safe and sound.

When I’m around you, I’m invincible,
When I’m around you, you are safe,
When I’m around you, I am content.

When I hold you, it’s to make you feel safe,
When I hold you, it’s to make you content,
When I hold you, it’s to feel you breath.

When I am away from you, I long for you,
When I am away from you, I feel cold,
When I am away from you, I miss you.

When I hold you, I could stay forever, and never let go.

Remember

Another love poem.
155 Words.
Remember
By.Brandon Moore

I remember your hair, dark as the night sky,
I remember your eyes, and that deep dark brown,
I remember your love, pure as gold, strong as steel.

I recall that night, the night that we met,
There were dark clouds covering all, all but the moon,
The bright full moon, lighting your face, shining in your eyes.

I recall the tone, the tone of your skin, and its dark hue,
I recall your style, ever changing, and always your own,

I regret that day, the day that I left,
I left without a word, or warning, or even a smile,

I regret not saying just how much you mean, so now I will tell you…
If there was one rose left in the world, it would be yours, I would make sure, For your name means rose, and that’s what you are, You are my rose, to hold, and to love…

When In Deep Slumber

I wrote this poem a while back, its sad, and romantic.
162 Words
When In Deep Slumber
By. Brandon Moore

I wake up each morning thinking of you,
I revel in my slumber as then I’m with you,
For when in deep slumber you’re closer to me
For when I am awake you are days away.

I long for that day, the one yet to come,
The day I can hold you,
Soon, that day will come.

And when that day comes I’ll get in my car,
I’ll drive for two days, for you are that far.

Its been but four years since I’ve felt your touch,
I long to embrace you, if only that day would come.

Things all around me remind me of you,
The lively sea green that are your eye’s,
The dark black sky is like your hair,
Ever flowing, and always there.

For now I will sleep, dreaming of you,
But I long to wake up, to wake to you,
To see you, to hold you,
To be with you…

this poem is a bit dark, but I feel i should add it to this site.
76 Words.
Red
By. Brandon Moore

Red,
Red running down my arms,
 Red dripping of my fingers,
Red coming from my blade,
Red is all I see,

Silver,
Silent shades of silver cutting through my flesh,
Silver drawing Red,
Silver going deeper, and deeper.

Pain,
Pain running through my body,
Pain I adore,
Pain I long for,
Pain that somehow feels good.

Black,
Black is all I feel,
Black is all I see,
Slowly falling,
Slowly fading,
Black….
