Only too soon it broke in two,
But I leave one piece with you…

And as I do this trusting thing, promise me these things,
I’ll hold you again, feel your caress once more,
And while we do this, you’ll heal my heart once more.
While you heal me, I’ll hold you, I’ll hold you forever…

I’ll hold you in the morn, while the sun rises,
I’ll hold you all day long, your hair spilling over me chest,
I’ll hold you, while the sun goes down, and the moon silently rises,
I’ll hold you all daytime long, and all throughout the night…

And the sun rises over the hill,
And as the fog lifts up,
The beauty of the morn is revealed.

As the sun sets across the ocean,
And the purple and yellow rays are revealed,
And as the wave crash on the shore,
The beauty of the evening is revealed.

As we walk along the grass, smelling tender dew,
And you let out a small shiver, showing you are cold,
And as I come to hold you, to warm you up once more,
And I whisper in your ear,
“If I could choose you or all this, I would take you”

How can I describe what you do to me?

When I’m holding you, its all I can do,
When I’m holding you, I find that its hard to breathe,
When I cant breath, its because of you, your beauty and sweetness is all
around me, making the air thicker, that’s why I cant breathe,
yet I still like it, like being with you, if I cant breathe, then its fine with me…

I’ve heard many girls gossip
And tell of their fairy tale night.
Gorgeous gowns,
Sterling silver jewelry,
A bouquet of roses
Dancing the night away with him
Feeling like they’re floating
On a cloud
Every little detail planned and perfect
Now it’s my turn to tell
Only it’s not a fairy tale
Nothing planned, nothing perfect
No fancy gowns or dresses
I’ll be wearing a pair of jeans
And an extra large t-shirt for all I care
No one else around,
A mid-tempo country song playing
Joking around and laughing
So hard at one another
Next thing I know
You’re giving me a gentle kiss
On my lips
Slowly pulling me closer to you
Holding me tightly
With your arms
Around my waist
Slow dancing right then and there
Feelings beyond description,
Far beyond those of
“Floating on a cloud”
It may not seem like a

To every person it means something different,

To some it might be slow dancing in a room lit only
By candles, country music playing, rain beating on the windows….

To some it might be sitting on the couch,
Watching a movie, little brothers all put to bed….

To some it might be a candlelit dinner of arduously
Prepared lamb and rice, dressed in a suit and a dress….

To some it might be a bonfire at the beach, crab legs and
Hot chocolate, tide coming in and a indescribable sunset….

To some it might be a boat on a lake, a glass of
Wine and a bright full moon shining down….

Whether your preference is candles and country music,
Or if you prefer a bonfire on the beach, as different as they are, they are all the same, they are all romance, they all mean the same thing, but they all mean it in different ways….

I said to you, its only human, what can you do?
You said to me, i'll end it all, just wanted to say “goodbye”,
I said to you, you are my all, please don’t leave me,
You said to me, how can I mean that much?
I said to you, I love you, and there’s only on of you,
You said to me, I’ve been told that before, what makes you any different?
I said to you, you will know by my actions, stay long enough to see them….

Now we recall that time together, and I can’t help but wonder, what would have happened had you ended it all there in front of me?

When I am away from you, I long for you,

I remember your hair, dark as the night sky,
I remember your eyes, and that deep dark brown,
I remember your love, pure as gold, strong as steel.

I recall that night, the night that we met,
There were dark clouds covering all, all but the moon,
The bright full moon, lighting your face, shining in your eyes.

I recall the tone, the tone of your skin, and its dark hue,
I recall your style, ever changing, and always your own,

I regret that day, the day that I left,
I left without a word, or warning, or even a smile,

I regret not saying just how much you mean, so now I will tell you…

I wake up each morning thinking of you,
I revel in my slumber as then I’m with you,
For when in deep slumber you’re closer to me
For when I am awake you are days away.

I long for that day, the one yet to come,
The day I can hold you,
Soon, that day will come.

And when that day comes I’ll get in my car,
I’ll drive for two days, for you are that far.

Its been but four years since I’ve felt your touch,
I long to embrace you, if only that day would come.

Things all around me remind me of you,
The lively sea green that are your eye’s,
The dark black sky is like your hair,
Ever flowing, and always there.

For now I will sleep, dreaming of you,
But I long to wake up, to wake to you,
To see you, to hold you,
To be with you…
